Position Overview
The 3D Designer will develop 3D models, visualisations, and spatial designs for exhibitions, events, scenic builds, structures, and fit-out and fabrication projects, translating creative concepts into accurate, production-ready designs for HIVE’s project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 3D models, renders, and visualisations for exhibitions, events, stages, pavilions, scenic builds, and installations
- Translate creative concepts into accurate, production-ready 3D designs
- Develop spatial layouts considering dimensions, materials, construction, and fabrication requirements
- Prepare renders, walkthroughs, and visual presentations for clients and internal teams
- Work closely with creative, production, engineering, and project teams
- Ensure designs are technically accurate, practical, and feasible for fabrication and installation
- Support production and on-site teams with detailed drawings and visual references
- Deliver high-quality work within tight project deadlines
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a 3D Designer in exhibitions, events, scenic design, interior fit-out, or similar environments
- Strong portfolio showcasing 3D modelling, rendering, spatial design, and visualisation
- Proficiency in 3ds Max, SketchUp, Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar software
- Strong understanding of spatial design, materials, dimensions, fabrication, and production feasibility
- Experience designing stages, exhibition stands, pavilions, event structures, or custom installations preferred
- Ability to translate creative concepts into practical, buildable designs
