Tahaluf, the largest B2B live and on-demand events organiser in Saudi Arabia — a joint venture between Informa PLC, SAFCSP and the Events Investment Fund behind LEAP, Cityscape and Black Hat MEA — is hiring an Exhibition Director to lead the long-term growth and commercial success of one of its flagship events in Riyadh.
Position Overview
The Exhibition Director carries full accountability for the commercial and operational performance of the event, from exhibition sales and sponsorship to visitor marketing, conference content and on-site delivery. The role requires regular engagement with senior executives, government officials and key stakeholders across the Saudi government and Informa Markets, making Arabic proficiency highly valuable.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, lead and execute the long-term strategy for the event in line with the Tahaluf business plan
- Act as an ambassador for the event, building relationships with clients, government stakeholders, industry associations and partners
- Partner closely with the Commercial Director to keep the sales team focused on agreed commercial objectives
- Build a trusted leadership partnership with the EVP and AVP on portfolio strategy, budgeting and forecasting
- Position and maintain the exhibition as the leading event within its sector, strengthening market share and brand recognition
- Prepare, manage and deliver the annual budget and quarterly forecasts against financial targets
- Maintain a thorough understanding of market trends, customer requirements and the competitive landscape
- Lead the development of team members through performance reviews, coaching and mentoring
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading large-scale B2B exhibitions with a proven commercial track record
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and P&L management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; Arabic language proficiency highly desirable
