Talent Blueprint FZ LLC is recruiting for one of the more unusual catering specialist jobs in Jeddah this month: a role supporting catering operations for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027, one of the world’s largest international sporting events. The fixed-term contract runs from September 1, 2026, to February/March 2027, and calls for a full-time, on-the-ground commitment for the entire tournament build-up and delivery period.
Position Overview: Catering Specialist Jobs in Jeddah
The Catering Specialist supports the delivery of catering operations at an assigned venue, supervising daily activities and ensuring services are delivered in line with operational plans, food safety requirements, contractual obligations, and agreed service standards. The role is field-based, overseeing contractor performance during operations and reporting to the Venue Catering Manager or Senior Catering Cluster Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily execution of catering operations across kitchens, storage areas, dining facilities, hospitality lounges, and service points
- Assist with setup, operation, and breakdown of catering services before, during, and after service periods
- Conduct routine inspections for operational readiness, cleanliness, equipment functionality, and compliance
- Monitor catering operations and promptly report issues or service disruptions
- Supervise daily activities and performance of catering contractor personnel
- Verify staff accreditation, uniforms, and deployment against the approved operational plan
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors on timely delivery of food, beverages, and equipment
- Prepare and submit accurate daily operational reports, including meal counts and incidents
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards throughout
Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent in Hospitality, Catering, Culinary Science, Event Management, or a related field, or relevant operational experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising catering, hospitality, or food service operations, preferably within large-scale events
- Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and event reporting systems
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced event environment
