Tahaluf, the largest B2B live and on-demand events organiser in Saudi Arabia and the joint venture behind LEAP, Cityscape, Black Hat MEA, and CPHI Middle East, is hiring an Exhibition Floor Plan Designer for a freelance/contractor engagement running from August to December 2026.
Position Overview
The Exhibition Floor Plan Designer creates detailed exhibition floor plans using AutoCAD and EXPOCAD or similar CAD software, designing booth layouts, aisle configurations, and traffic flow that maximise sellable space and improve the visitor experience, while ensuring compliance with venue regulations, fire codes, and safety standards. The role interfaces closely with Tahaluf’s Sales and Sales Operations teams throughout the exhibition planning cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed exhibition floor plans using AutoCAD, EXPOCAD, or similar CAD software
- Design booth layouts, aisle configurations, and traffic flow to maximise sellable space and visitor experience
- Produce multiple plan iterations based on venue specifications and client requirements
- Ensure compliance with venue regulations, fire codes, and safety standards
- Interface with the Sales and Sales Operations teams to update and maintain floor plan calculations, including sellable space, gross and net floor area, and occupancy figures
- Prepare venue comparison reports covering floor area and technical details such as rigging, electrical provisions, and temporary structures
- Produce technical drawings with precise measurements and prepare documentation packages for the Operations Team, contractors, and venue authorities
- Manage several floor plan projects at once, tracking revisions and maintaining clear version control
Qualifications
- Previous experience in exhibition floor planning, with a proven track record in the role
- Degree in Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field, or 2–4 years of equivalent experience, ideally within the exhibitions and events industry
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with strong experience designing and managing large-scale trade show floor plans
- Hands-on experience with EXPOCAD or similar software to automate layout designs and manage exhibitor spatial data
- Technical understanding of exhibition venues, particularly in Saudi Arabia and the UAE
- Knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Illustrator, or 3D rendering tools is an advantage
- A portfolio demonstrating floor plan design and technical drawing work
- Bilingual capabilities are a plus, with English essential; this is a freelance position running from August to December 2026
