NTU International, a Danish development consultancy, is building a pool of qualified experts to support a European Union communications and outreach programme spanning North Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf. As part of this effort, the firm is hiring a Senior Non-Key Expert to serve as Events Manager, delivering conferences, seminars and public outreach activities across the region.
Position Overview
The Events Manager plans, coordinates and delivers institutional events on behalf of the EU’s DG MENA, from high-level conferences and seminars to workshops and press events. The role combines logistics management, protocol coordination for senior officials, and close collaboration with communication teams to ensure every event runs smoothly and reflects well on the programme’s partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and deliver conferences, seminars, workshops, press events and public outreach activities
- Manage all logistical aspects of institutional events, including venue coordination, participant registration and supplier liaison
- Coordinate event schedules, speakers, moderators and technical service providers
- Support protocol arrangements for the participation of high-level EU officials, partner institutions and external stakeholders
- Supervise on-site event implementation and ensure smooth delivery
- Coordinate event-related communication materials and participant information
- Support post-event reporting, evaluations and lessons learned
- Work closely with communication teams, service providers and DG MENA to ensure successful implementation
Qualifications
- University degree (or equivalent professional experience) in event management, communication or hospitality
- Fluent English; French and/or Arabic an asset
- 5 years of general experience in event organisation and logistics
- 3 years of specific experience managing institutional or communication events
